In fact, I go to tapas restaurants all the time. Gordon says: "There are a whole host of Spanish dishes that regularly make it onto the Ramsay family dinner table. It was definitely my favourite dish we had on the series, and it’s one we have at home regularly. Gino says: "I cooked a fantastic paella for the boys in the camper van, and it was delicious. Tell us about a favourite Spanish dish that you might make at home for the family? I’ve got to be honest, it’s not something I’m in a hurry to repeat - however, I do like the ‘no waste’ ethos of a specialty like this!" Gino says: "Spanish cuisine is very good - but nowhere near as good as Italian!"ĭid you cook any particularly different or unusual dishes this time around?Gordon says: "Criadillas, also known as bull’s testicles, is something I’ve cooked and eaten. Also, I’ve got to mention the tapas! Although tapas originated down in the south, they are now a global institution. Gordon says: "It’s super-diverse! The variety across the country is exceptional. How would you summarise the food of Spain? Spain is an amazing country, and everything is unique to the destination that you go to, whether you are in the north, south or centre, in the mountains or near the sea." It’s a chef’s paradise, for sure."įred says: "We were going to some regions I had never been to. There’s amazing regional delicacies and local ingredients. You can go all out in the big cities, or take yourself off the beaten track and discover the rural, unspoiled delights of the country. Gordon says: "I love everything about Spain - the food, history and culture. Gino says: "I hadn’t been to Spain for over 20 years, so I was really keen and excited to re-discover some of the amazing places and food it has to offer.
